In the late 1980s a group of German equestrians visited the area surrounding the hamlet of Döbrönte. Immediately falling in love with the surrounding beauty and charm, they took the opportunity when Hungary opened itself to the west to build Hasik in 1991, one of the first foreign investments in the region. "We had the tourist in mind who wants to relax, enjoy nature, yet demands the highest comfort" says one of the hotel's founders. Great care was taken to blend the hotel in with its surroundings. Finished in 2005, the hotel complex has 38 rooms, offering a unique mix of Hungarian hospitality, international comfort and European as well as Hungarian cuisine. Hasik's facilities include, tennis courts, out- and indoor pool, gym, sauna and Jacuzzi and a superb equestrian center.
